Tree Surveys

Tree surveys locate, identify and collect information on trees that can be used to from an essential part of a tree management programme or as a data base for monitoring tree populations. 

Information is recorded on GPS device and transferred into a table format or excel spread sheets for easy access and referencing.

 Tree Surveys vary depending on client requirements however generally will include:

     ·         Location on survey / site plan   

·         Tree number (Metal tag)

·         Species Name

·         Age Class

·         Height

·         Canopy spread

·         DBH (Diameter at Breast Height)

·         Health & structural condition

·         Pest and disease

·         SULE (Safe Useful Life Expectancy) Rating

·         Specific Comments on individual trees

·         Recommendations

Other details can include:

·         Retention Value

·         Landscape significance

·         Tree protection Zones (TPZ)

·         Structural Roots Zones (SRZ) 

·          Impact of development

Tree Surveys undertake an assessment of all trees as

identified within a nominated area that will provide

property / asset managers etc. with an appraisal of their

 condition.
